Ayamekai (菖蒲会) is a group of martial art classes that belongs to Renshinkai Aikido taught by Brett Duchon-sensei (teacher), Jon Voris-sensei, and Kazuki Sato-sensei. Ayamekai began in Chiba, Japan in 2002 and has steadily developed an international flavor with a dedicated core of Japanese students. They started Ayamekai to further spread Aikido and share the experience and knowledge of its teachers. They invite people of all cultures to experience through training the empowerment of body, mind, and spirit, in order to become confident, patient, and peaceful individuals.
Ayamekai Mission Statement: “Developing peaceful people for peaceful communities”
Ayamekai is dedicated to enhancing the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of its members. We make extensive use of the techniques and principles from a non-competitive and non-violent martial art to stimulate participants intellectually and physically. Training promotes confidence, health, and peaceful interaction with family, friends, and other individuals. We hope that students can become proficient in dealing with the stress and anxieties of the contemporary world by providing them with an ideal environment to practice strategies for a healthier and safer life.
Ayamekai does not discriminate on the basis of gender, color, national or ethnic origins, physical disability, political, religious, or sexual orientation.
